India having rich variety of flora and fauna spread all over the country along with its coast lines. There are 18 biosphere reserves in India in several states. All these reserves are recognized under UNESCO’s Man and Biosphere (MAB) programme for the prevention and sustainable development of local Community. Below is the list of Biosphere reserves of India with year of recognition, location and state.
